Illustration collaborative project

Illustration project: When two heads and four hands join to think about a project, things flow differently; maybe slower sometimes, for the dependency created, but, undoubtedly, even sounding contradictory, in a more agile way because of the crazy flow of ideas and the support of another person that makes it easier. Exactly this is what has happened to me with Alicia Camino (or Alison Folks as she is artistically known). We met many years ago, when the blogs world was another thing and, after a while of not knowing from each other, and after she came back for a period she lived in Majorca, our interests joined us back. After a lot of thinking on a Sunday afternoon, I worte her with the idea of meeting again and one thing led to the other. An afternoon in a cafè, we sat to let our ideas fly and thought of creating something together. The initial list of ideas was long; some complicated, some easier, but all had the love that we put on what we do.

One of the ideas that we developed was creating a serie of illustrations by 4 hands. We started by letting it all flow and, individually, we created some sketches and start of illustrations that we brought to our next meeting. Initially, there wasn't any established theme, we just wanted to see what came up and then, together, put in common our ideas, first lines and define which path to follow. Alicia thought that our first ideas looked a like bit like stars, universe and spacial trips, so this was the concept we decided to work on, each of us giving our interpretations that were later melted together in the final illustrations.
